ニンテンドー3DSは、2011年に任天堂がリリースした携帯型ゲーム機です。よりパワフルな「New ニンテンドー3DS」や、「2DS」一式などを含む、様々なシリーズ機種が長年にわたりリリースされてきました。すべての3DSシリーズは同じシステムソフトウェアで動作しているため、homebrewの方法やソフトウェアは基本的に共通しています(New ニンテンドー3DSの強力なマシンパワーが必要になったり、2DSの持たない3D機能が必要になったりする場合を除く)。
