PKSM is a save manager and editor for Pokémon games. It supports generations 1 to 8.

Installation

PKSM is available on Universal-db

1. Power on your console
2. Launch Universal-Updater from the HOME Menu, or from the Homebrew Launcher
3. Select the magnifying glass on the bottom screen, then search for PKSM
4. Press A while hovering over PKSM from the list of homebrew
5. Choose PKSM.cia to install to the HOME Menu, or PKSM.3dsx to install to the Homebrew Launcher
6. Wait until the app finishes installing
7. Exit Universal-Updater

You can scan one of the QR codes below to download and install the program using FBI. To do this, start FBI, then go to "Remote Install", then "Scan QR Code".

• Download the latest release
• Copy PKSM.3dsx to the /3ds/ folder on your SD card

Download the latest release and install it using a CIA installer such as FBI.

Usage

The PKSM wiki documents how to use the application.

Setting up missing saves

If your title is a 3DS game or official Virtual Console title, then your game should show up by default. If not, then some additional setup is required for PKSM to use your save. First, ensure that you have made an initial save in the missing title.

Installed title(VC Inject)ROM saves

1. Launch FBI
   • If you dont have FBI installed, do so now
2. Select Titles and navigate to your missing game
3. On the top screen you should see TitleID:<16 digit number>, write this number down
4. Close FBI and Launch PKSM
5. Press X to open settings and select Misc. -> Title IDs
   • Note: some of settings can only be navigated with the touch screen
6. Select the game you wish to add and enter 0x(16 digit TitleID) in the text box
7. Tap OK and exit out of settings
8. Tap on "VC Games" and your title should now be present
   • If your save does not appear in the menu, restart PKSM

1. Launch PKSM
2. Press X to open settings and select Misc. -> Extra Saves
   • Note: some of settings can only be navigated with the touch screen
3. Highlight your game from the menu, press A, then press A again on your game to add a save
4. Navigate to your game save and select it, you should now see your game save on the list
5. Exit out of settings and press Y to switch to absent games, your save should now be present
   • If your save does not appear in the menu, restart PKSM
