Installing PayloadLoader with Bluubomb
You should really only follow this if you were redirected here due to unable to use the browser for some reason.
Notes:
- BluuBomb requires Linux. It's easiest in an Ubuntu VM.
- You will need a compatible Bluetooth adapter so keep that in mind (In my experience Realtek adapters do not work, although they should be supported.)
What you need
- BluuBomb
- Aroma
- Scroll down to the Download section.
- Read through the steps and click on the checkboxes.
- Click on
Download Payloads
andDownload Base Aroma
. Make sure to select thefw.img loader
payload.
- Minute
- You will need the
fw_encrypted.img
file
- You will need the
SD Prep
- Copy the contents of the Aroma
.zip
files to the root of the SD Card. - Copy the
root.rpx
file from thesd:/wiiu/environments
folder to root of the SD Card, and rename tolaunch.rpx
.- Also create a file called
autoboot.cfg
insd:/wiiu/environments/aroma
, insertwiiu_menu
into it, and save the file.

- Insert your SD card in your computer.

- Start the console to boot into the Wii U Menu, launch the Health and Safety Information app.
- Navigate the list using the D-Pad and navigate to the
aroma
environment, press A to launch it. - Select
Wii U Menu
. - Back at the Wii U Menu, launch the PayloadLoader Installer.
- Press A to select
Check
. - Select
Boot Options
. - You will be asked if you want to switch the boot title. Press A to select
Switch to PayloadLoader
. - When the process finished, press A to shutdown the console.
- The PayloadLoader will now be launched automatically on every boot.
Finalizing Setup
It is now a good idea to finalize your PayloadLoader installation. You can find a guide on this here.
