New system versions

Current known versions:

  • 3DS: 11.17.0-50
  • Wii U: 5.5.6
  • Switch: 19.0.1

What to do when Nintendo releases a new system version:

  1. Edit {{SystemVersion}}: Click here to edit
  2. Wait for the job queue to update every page that uses {{System version outdated article}} to show the warning and categorize outdated pages (this could take a while; up to 20 jobs are run every 10 seconds)
  3. Go to Category:Pages that may need updating and make any necessary changes; make sure to update |sysversion= in {{System version outdated article}}.

Technical things and stuff

Site notices

  • MediaWiki:Sitenotice displays a notice to all users
    • MediaWiki:Sitenotice id is used so a new sitenotice can be displayed when users dismissed the old one (but also allows for minor changes to an existing one without re-displaying it). Increment this by 1 each time a new sitenotice is put.
  • MediaWiki:Anonnotice displays a notice to all unregistered users (this currently transcludes Sitenotice)
    • If this is replaced with a single "-" then Sitenotice is displayed instead. If this is completely empty, no notice will be displayed at all to unregistered users.
