menuhax67 is a secondary exploit that can be used to launch the Homebrew Launcher. Here, we inject it with Bannerbomb3
The instructions described here work with all regions except for Taiwan and China.
What you need
- The latest version of Luma3DS (the Luma3DS
.zipfile) - The latest version of menuhax67 (the menuhax67
.zipfile)
Instructions
Section I - Prep Work
- Insert the SD card of your 3DS into your computer
- Copy everything from the Luma3DS
.zipto the root of your SD card- The root of the SD card refers to the initial directory on your SD card where you can see the Nintendo 3DS folder, but are not inside of it
- Copy the
Launcher.datfor your region/version from the Release.zipto the root of your SD card
Section II - Bannerbomb3
- Reinsert your SD card into your device
- Power on your device
- Launch System Settings on your device
- Navigate to
Data Management->DSiWare->SD Card - Select
Install *HAX
Section III - Using menuhax67
- Power on your device, which should now have menuhax67 installed
- Press on the small home icon on the top left of the touch screen in the HOME Menu

If the exploit was successful, your device will have booted into the Homebrew Launcher |
At this point, there are a number of processes you may follow. Continue to the next section of the guide based on what you have access to.

After installing boot9strap you should uninstall menuhax67, or HOME Menu Settings may crash or open the Homebrew Launcher. Uninstalling menuhax67 will NOT uninstall boot9strap. |

Uninstall menuhax67
- Create a folder called
3dson the root of your SD card if it doesn't exist already - Copy the menuhax67_installer.3dsx from the menuhax67
.zipto the the3dsfolder - Insert the SD card into the 3DS
- Launch the Homebrew Launcher with any method (normally with Rosalina & Download Play or from the HOME Menu)
- Launch the menuhax67_installer.3dsx from the list of homebrew
- Select REMOVE menuhax67
