This is not a complete list, but it should give you a general idea on what you can do.

Wii U homebrew basics

the Wii U has a lot of good & useful homebrew, learn how to use a few of it below.

Aroma - Install Aroma for added benefits like easier mod loading, plugins, and easier out-of-region support.
SDCafiine - Patch your games to play ROM Hacks of games you own

OurLoader - Play out-of-region games. (not needed with Aroma)
Dump Games - Dump your Wii U game discs to a format that can be installed on your internal or external Wii U storage drive.

Game mods, save editing, cheats

Before you modify a game or its save, you should backup your save data with SaveMii WUT Port.
