This page will assist with removing conflicting ID1(s) from your Nintendo 3DS folder. This occurs when you use multiple SD cards with the same 3DS and then merge the SD card contents together, or after restoring a backup of your SD card while there is data already on the card. Both are “valid”, but the 3DS can only read one at a time.
Instructions
- Navigate to
Nintendo 3ds/<ID0>/
- The ID0 and ID1 are long 32-character folders inside your
Nintendo 3DS
folder
- The ID0 and ID1 are long 32-character folders inside your
- create a folder named
BACKUP_ID1
- Place all but one ID1 (32-character folder) into
BACKUP_ID1
- Hint: Whichever ID1 folder is largest will likely have your actual data
- Insert your SD card into your console and power on
- If your installed apps are present, you can remove the
Backup_ID1
folder from your SD card - If your installed apps appear missing try one of the other ID1(s) instead
