Wii U:Haxchi

From Hacks Guide Wiki
Revision as of 03:06, 9 February 2023 by StarlitSkies (talk | contribs) (style/grammar fixes and remove install info (since Haxchi's basically dead))

OOjs UI icon information-warning.svg If you are still using Haxchi, it should be replaced by Tiramisu or Aroma. These custom firmwares have all the features of Haxchi, plus more planned features, bug fixes, and less requirements (e.g. no need to have a Virtual Console DS game).

Haxchi is a custom firmware that can quickly apply IOSUHAX using a channel on the Wii U Menu. It overwrites an installed DS Virtual Console game, so you must purchase a game from the eShop and make it unusuable in the process. You could then load Haxchi automatically by using Coldboot Haxchi, known in short as CBHC.

Usage and Uninstalling

Usage

The DS game that Haxchi is installed over will be replaced by the Haxchi Launcher. Launching this channel loads up the Haxchi CFW, although certain buttons can be configured to perform certain actions instead of loading the CFW (e.g. you configure A to load the Homebrew Launcher to skip the need to run the Browserhax exploit).

Uninstallation

Haxchi can be uninstalled by deleting the Haxchi Launcher in the native System Settings application. Once that is gone, the game used to launch Haxchi can be redownloaded normally from the eShop.

Coldboot Haxchi can be uninstalled according to the instructions on this page.
