Scope of the page

Hello, This page is causing a stir (on the Discord). Indeed, the main problem is that it implies custom firmware resides on the NAND, while its on the SD card, as far as I am concerned I am proposing this page to be renamed, and the objective be changed to the full reset of the consoel, as it seems it's what it amounts to in practice. Its probably the best way for this page to survive as-is.

Moreover, we fail to see the usefulness of this tutorial, so to the creator of the page, please explain what is its purpose.

According to @HunterMario "The most you will ever have to do to remove CFW is either disable AutoRCM or remove the modchip (I strongly recommend against this, just keep the modchip and don't use cfw features)." Cominou (talk) 15:44, 20 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
