exFAT sur Switch
Pour toutes les versions après la 1.0.0, la Switch a été compatible avec les cartes microSD exFAT grâce à une mise à jour fournie par Nintendo. Si une carte microSD exFAT est insérée mais que la mise à jour exFAT n'est pas installée, la Switch affichera une invite de mise à jour du système, même si la Switch est sur la dernière version du firmware.
Raisons de ne pas utiliser exFAT
Malgré la limitation des tailles de fichier à 4 Gio en FAT32, exFAT n'est pas recommandé pour plusieurs raisons :
- Attempting to boot CFW using an exFAT formatted SD card without the exFAT update installed will fail.
- The exFAT driver used by the Switch operating system is prone to causing corruption.
- Even with large games and exFAT, Nintendo doesn't use files larger than 4GiB.
Out of the box, SDXC cards (64GB+) are formatted to exFAT. However, you can format any SD card to FAT32 just fine. See Formatting an SD card.
