This is the approved revision of this page, as well as being the most recent.
Required Reading
This page installs an 11.15.0 CTRTransfer image to your device to recover its system software.
Note that if you have any payload files other than GodMode9.firm in the /luma/payloads/
folder on your SD card, holding Start on boot will display a “chainloader menu” where you will have to use the D-Pad Up, D-Pad Down, and A buttons to select GodMode9.firm
for these instructions.
You cannot do this guide without having installed Luma3DS and boot9strap first. If you have not done so, start from this page. |
Performing a CTRTransfer may break extended memory mode games (Monster Hunter, Super Smash Bros, Pokemon Sun/Moon) on Old 3DS/2DS devices. If this occurs, you will need to format the device (using TinyFormat or System Settings) to fix the issue. |
What You Need
- The latest release of GodMode9 (the GodMode9
.zip
file) - The latest release of FBI (the
.3dsx
file) - The latest release of faketik (the
.3dsx
file) - The latest release of ctrtransfer.gm9 (right click, save link as)
- The 11.15.0 CTRTransfer image for your device and region (if your device is not from one of these regions, just pick one that matches your device model):
To download from the following magnet links, you need a torrent client installed. The two recommended clients for this are qBittorrent and Deluge. |
