Wii U MLC/SLC rebuild Guide

Requirements

• isfshax
• Aroma CFW you can use a different CFW but aroma is preferred
• otp.bin: from your NAND backup

Downloads

MLCRestorerDownloader get the right file for your os: Windows linux. wafel_setup_mlc.ipx wafel_payloader.ipx

downloading a clean MLC and / SLC:

• extract the MLCRestorerDownloader.zip file.
• Place your otp.bin into the extracted folder and run MLCRestorerDownloader file.
• Select "Download MLC titles Download MLC titles and Download SLC titles if you need to.
  • Choose your Target Region.

SD setup

1. create a new folder named wafel_install on the root of your sd card
2. Install Plugins: Move both wafel_setup_mlc.ipx and wafel_payloader.ipx into the wiiu/ios_plugins folder on your SD card.
3. navigate to output/MLC (and SLC if you have one) /region. Copy the 52 folders found there into the wafel_install folder on your SD card.

Wiping the MLC

1. Insert the SD card into your Wii U and power it on.
2. The console should automatically boot into the minute menu.
3. Navigate to Backup and Restore.
4. Select Erase MLC.
5. Select Delete scfm.img.

Rebuilding the MLC

1. Return to the Main Menu of minute.
2. Select Patch SD and boot IOS (SLC).
3. The LED Indicator: The console light will begin blinking blue. This indicates the setup is in progress.
4. Wait: Do not touch the console until the blinking stops completely. Once finished, power the console off.

Verification

It is critical to verify the installation was successful before regular use.

1. Insert the SD card back into your PC.
2. Open the file named wafel_setup_mlc_log.txt
3. Search (Ctrl+F): Look for error code FFFBFFEE.
   • If this error does not exist, the setup was successful.
