What you Need

  • The latest release of MSET9 (the Release .zip file)
  • The latest release of MSET9-Wii (the .dol file)
  • a Wii with The Homebrew Channel installed

Instructions

Section I - Prep Work

  1. Power off your 3DS
  2. Insert your SD card into your computer
  3. Copy everything from the Release .zip file to the root of your SD card
  4. Create a folder named apps on your SD card (if it does not exist already)
  5. Create a folder named MSET9-Wii within the /apps/ folder on your SD card
  6. Copy the MSET9-Wii .dol file to the /apps/MSET9-Wii/ folder on your SD card, and rename it to boot.dol
  7. Safely eject your SD card from your computer
  8. Insert your SD card into your 3DS, and power it on

Section II - Creating Extra Data

  1. Power on your 3DS with your SD card inserted
  2. Open Mii Maker
  3. Wait for your 3DS to reach the "Welcome to Mii Maker" screen, then exit Mii maker

  4. Press (Start) to save and reboot

  • Luma3DS does not look any different from the normal HOME Menu. If your console has booted into the HOME Menu, it is running custom firmware.
  • On the next page, you will install useful homebrew applications to complete your setup.

Section V - Removing MSET9

  1. Power off your 3DS
  2. Eject your SD card from your 3DS, and insert it into your Wii
  3. Press A to continue
  4. You should see [OK] MSET9 has been removed!
  5. When prompted to Try again?, press B to cancel.
  6. Press Home to return to the Homebrew Channel.
