HIDtoVPAD is a homebrew application that allows you to use different wired HID controllers from other systems to emulate the GamePad, or a pro controller. You can connect up to 5 different controllers.
Supported Controllers and devices
There are various HID devices you can use for HIDtoVPAD, such as:
- Mouse and keyboard
- Dualshock 3(USB)
- Dualshock 4 (USB, new models need the Network Client)
- Gamecube (With the official or Mayflash adapter)
With the Network Client, it natively supports Xinput devices such as:
- Xbox 360
- Xbox One
- Bluetooth HID devices such as the Switch Pro

- Download the latest release from GitHub.
- Extract the contents of the zip to the root of your SD card.
- Boot up the Wii U and boot into Tiramisu.
- Connect the controller you want to use to either USB port.
- Launch the Homebrew Launcher and select HIDtoVPad.
- Navigate to or tap the GamePad icon. You'll be prompted to press any button on your controller.
- If successful, it'll close and you'll see the name of your controller over the GamePad icon.
- Apply the patches and exit by pressing Start.
