m (Windows 10, & Windows 11 (same with windows 7 & 8.x if i remember correctly) does CRLF & UTF-8 by default, which works fine with utag.txt. Is supported with the Text Editor in Linux Mint & I'd assume most other distros, might just be an option you have to tweak before saving, though. Unsure why the README.md for UTag states you shouldn't use Windows Notepad.)

RiiTag is a customizable and dynamic gamertag. By sharing your gamertag (a dynamic image), you can show what you've been playing to other people. You need a Discord account to use RiiTag.

Getting started

  1. Go to the RiiTag website
  2. Press the Login button on the top right, then sign into your Discord account if you aren't already
  3. A dialog will appear asking if you want to authorize RiiConnect24 Login, press Authorize
  • If you'd like to customize your RiiTag, press on your profile that is on the top right of the screen, then Edit RiiTag

Connecting your USB Loader

USB Loader GX

  1. Launch USB Loader GX from the list of homebrew
  2. Go to Settings, then Features and turn Wiinnertag on. Press Yes or OK to any prompts that appear.
  3. Ensure that Initialize Network is enabled
  4. Close USB Loader GX
  5. Insert the storage device that has USB Loader GX into your computer
  6. Go to the website again, then press on your profile that is on the top right of the screen, then Account, then press You can also download your Wiinnertag.xml. which will download the file needed for RiiTag usage
  7. Copy the downloaded Wiinnertag.xml to /apps/usbloader_gx on the storage device that has USB Loader GX.

WiiFlow

  1. Insert the storage device that has WiiFlow into your computer
  2. Open /apps/wiiflow/wiiflow.ini in a text editor
  3. Search for gamercards then replace it with gamercards=wiinnertag
  4. Search for wiinnertag_url and replace it with wiinnertag_url=https://tag.rc24.xyz/wii?game={ID6}&key={KEY}
  5. Search for wiinnertag_key and replace that line with wiinnertag_key=<key>, replacing <key> with the key you wrote down in Section I
  6. Search for gamercards_enable and replace it with gamercards_enable=yes.
  7. Save the modified wiiflow.ini

Configurable USB Loader

OOjs UI icon information-progressive.svg Configurable USB Loader is a heavily outdated USB loader and you have less chance of getting support for it compared to USB Loader GX and WiiFlow Lite.
OOjs UI icon information-progressive.svg You can use the CfgLoaderConfigurator.exe program (Windows only) instead of editing the config.txt file mentioned below if you want to.
  1. Insert the storage device that has Configurable USB Loader into your computer
  2. Open /usb-loader/config.txt in a text editor
  3. Replace (or add) the line starting with gamercard_url with gamercard_url = http://tag.rc24.xyz/wii?game={ID6}&key={KEY}
  4. Replace (or add) the line starting with gamercard_key with gamercard_key = <key>, replacing <key> with the key you wrote down in Section I
  5. Save the modified config.txt

Connecting other consoles

Emulators

OOjs UI icon information-progressive.svg RiiTag supports Dolphin, Citra, Cemu, yuzu, and Ryujinx. You must have a Discord account and the Discord application for this to work.
  1. Join the WiiLink Discord server if you are not already in there
  2. Make sure Discord Rich Presence is enabled in the emulator options
  3. Make sure the Discord application is open (the website will not work)
  4. Start up a game and RiiTag will automatically update your tag

Switch & 3DS

OOjs UI icon information-progressive.svg RiiTag supports Nintendo Switch & 3DS hardware. You must have a Discord account and the Discord application for this to work.
  1. Join the WiiLink Discord server if you are not already in there
  2. Follow the instructions on NSO-RPC for Switch and 3DS-RPC for 3DS.
  3. If you are using NSO-RPC, make sure the Discord application is open (the website will not work)
  4. Start up a game and RiiTag will automatically update your tag
  • 3DS software can take up to 5-10 minutes to show up on your tag

RiiTag Channel

OOjs UI icon information-progressive.svg If you're using a Wii, you can install a channel that opens your RiiTag when you launch it. This requires you have the Internet Channel installed on your console.
  1. Go to the RiiTag website
  2. Press the Login button on the top right, then sign into your Discord account if you aren't already
  3. A dialog will appear asking if you want to authorize RiiConnect24 Login, press Authorize
  4. Press on your profile that is on the top right of the screen, then Profile, then press RiiTag channel to download the WAD
  5. Put the WAD on your SD card or USB drive
  6. Install the WAD with YAWM ModMii Edition
  7. The RiiTag Channel should now be available to use on your Wii Menu

RiiTag-RPC

  6. Press on your profile that is on the top right of the screen, then Account, then press Copy which will copy your RiiTag key
