What you need

  • The latest release of 2DSaver (direct download)
  • The 11.0 release of Luma3DS (direct download)
  • The latest release of Luma3DS (the Luma3DS .zip file)

Prep Work

  1. Power off your console
  2. Insert your SD card into your computer
  3. Copy boot.firm from the Luma3DSv11.0.zip to the root of your SD card
  4. Copy boot.3dsx from the release.zip to the root of your SD card
  5. Create a folder named luma on the root of your SD card, if it does not already exist
  6. Copy config.ini from inside the folder for your console's region in the release.zip to the luma folder on your SD card
  7. Reinsert your SD card into your console

Section I - Launching 2DSaver

  1. Power on your console
  2. You should have booted into 2DSaver
  3. Press A to fix 3d slider brick
  4. Press Start to exit
  5. Your console will have booted to the HOME Menu, and should now boot normally

Section II - Updating Luma3DS

  1. Power off your console
  2. Insert your SD card into your computer
  3. Copy boot.firm and boot.3dsx from the latest Luma3DS .zip to the root of your SD card, overwriting the ones already there
  4. Reinsert your SD card into your console
  5. Power on your console
    • If you see the Luma3DS configuration menu, press Start to save and reboot

Warning icon By skipping initial setup the following parameters were not set and will need to be edited or filled in through System Settings. Not changing these settings can lead to the eShop not working or other issues.
