<code>?</code> is a wildcard and can refer to any character, this error indicates there is some sort of corruption with the game or its save data.

#The first thing you should try is uninstalling then reinstalling any Update data for the game

#If this does not work, try uninstalling and reinstalling any DLCs for the game

#Install the game to your SD card with [[3DS:Dump_titles_and_game_cartridges#Installing_a_game_cartridge_directly_to_the_system|GodMode9]]

#If the install succeeds, launch the game

#*If the game launches, then restore your save using [[Checkpoint]]

#*If the game crashes after restoring your save, your save is corrupted

#**You can try deleting the save from your cartridge, as it may make your cartridge work again

#**If you are unable to delete the cartridge save in-game, then use JKSM or FBI to delete it

#**If the cartridge still does not work, then delete the save from the SD card version

#If the installed version did not work or the install failed, your cartridge is likely corrupted

#*You can try the Cartridge fix section below to repair corruption

#*If that worked, you should [[3DS:Dump_titles_and_game_cartridges#Installing_a_game_cartridge_directly_to_the_system|install the game with GodMode9]] as the cartridge may be unstable

If the game crashes right when you enter it, try importing the seed with FBI:

 

#Navigate to <code>Titles</code> -> <code>(game name)</code>

#Select <code>Import Seed</code>

If that doesn't help, remove the save and fix potential game corruption by re-installing the game:

 

 

If the game no longer crashes, restore the save with Checkpoint. If it starts crashing again, you have to redo the process and start a new save.

#Select <code>NCSD image options...</code> then <code>Fix cartridge corruption</code>

#*You will know that it is working if the <code>Current Hash</code> value is changing

#When the cart fixer finishes, repeat steps 4 and 5 to verify the cartridge. It may take several tries to completely fix a cartridge

 

If this does not fix your cartridge, then your cartridge is most likely unfixable and will need to be replaced.
