Firmware Rebuilding for 3DS, Wii U, WII and Switch.

These methods should only be used as a last resort!

Manual CTR Transfer

A Manual CTR Transfer is mostly used for fixing bricks. It overwrites the entire CTR NAND with a clean version of it.

MLC Rebuild

MLC Rebuild is mostly used for Region Changing, and fixing corrupted firmware, and red NAND.

Ohneschwanzenegger

Ohneschwanzenegger is mostly used for wiping cIOS/IOS and homebrew that cannot be deleted normally. It downloads the new NAND files from Nintendo's servers (NUS) so after the process your console will be just like when it left the factory.

MLC Rebuild

An MMC Rebuild is usually used for repairing corrupted system files. It carries the most risk out of all these methods. Read the "Switch info" section for more info about it.

Switch info

While bans are no longer a concern for "legacy" consoles, they are very much possible on the Nintendo Switch.

Avoid using an MMC Rebuild for cleaning purposes; instead, use TegraExplorer’s "System Wipe" script to clean the firmware.

Get your system as clean as possible
Uninstall homebrew
Unmod the console without a NAND backup
