'''HIDtoVPAD''' is a homebrew application that allows you to use different wired HID controllers from other systems to emulate the GamePad, or a pro controller. You can connect up to 5 different controllers.
== Supported Controllers and devices ==
There are various HID devices you can use for HIDtoVPAD, such as:
*Mouse and keyboard
*Dualshock 3(USB)
*Dualshock 4 (USB, new models need the Network Client)
*Gamecube (With the official or Mayflash adapter)
With the [https://github.com/Maschell/HIDtoVPADNetworkClient Network Client], it natively supports Xinput devices such as:
*Xbox 360
*Xbox One
*Bluetooth HID devices such as the Switch Pro
=== Other Controllers ===
Many more controllers can be added with the help of config files. The repo can be found [https://github.com/Maschell/controller_patcher_configs here].
You would download and place them in
wiiu/controller
. You can also remap existing configurations for controllers to your liking. You can learn how to do so by following the [https://github.com/Maschell/controller_patcher/wiki/2.-Gamepad-button-remapping Gamepad button remapping].
== Usage ==

#Download the latest release from [https://github.com/Maschell/hid_to_vpad/releases GitHub].
#Extract the contents of the zip to the root of your SD card.
#Boot up the Wii U and boot into Tiramisu.
#Connect the controller you want to use to either USB port.
#Launch the Homebrew Launcher and select HIDtoVPad.
#Navigate to or tap the GamePad icon. You'll be prompted to press any button on your controller.
#If successful, it'll close and you'll see the name of your controller over the GamePad icon.
#Apply the patches and exit by pressing Start.
#Boot up any game to test your controller out!
{{info|text=HIDtoVPAD does not work on WiiVC games. It will be disabled once you enter Wii Mode.}}
