Pokémon X and Pokémon Y are role-playing video games for the Nintendo 3DS. They are part of the sixth generation of the Pokémon video game series.

Game-specific quirks

Region-free game

This game is region-free and does not have per-region builds or Title IDs. Updates for this game can be downloaded from any eShop region. However game cards are not region-free, so while the icon and banner may appear on the HOME Menu, a stock console cannot play an out-of-region game card. Set up custom firmware to play out-of-region game cards.

Mods

Hack name Features Notes
Eternal X and Wilting Y Difficulty/721 hack. Contains Legal, Rebalanced, Insanity, and Online versions. Does NOT support title updates, therefore susceptible to the Lumiose City save glitch.
Neo X and Neo Y Difficulty/721 hack. Changes encounters with trainers and gym leaders. Has storyline changes.
Mega X & Y Difficulty hack. Focuses primarily on double battles. Changes wild encounters.
