New page

This page allows you to transfer save data from a console's internal memory (e.g. Activity Log, StreetPass Mii Plaza, Mii Maker, etc.) to another console without doing [[3DS:System Transfer|a System Transfer]].

You should typically only use this guide in these scenarios:

*Either console is damaged in a way that it cannot access System Transfer.
*You need to transfer from a New 3DS to an Old 3DS (For Old 3DS to New 3DS, you should use the official method)
*One of the consoles cannot access Nintendo eShop services. In the case that you lost access to the eShop after a region change, you should first try [https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/74/~/how-to-delete-a-nintendo-eshop-account deleting the eShop account] before region changing (or running [https://github.com/luigoalma/nimregion/releases nimregion] in the Homebrew Launcher after region changing) and see if that fixes the issue.
*You only have a NAND backup of the source console, not the console itself.

If you are confused in any way, join {{ml|Get support|the Nintendo Homebrew Discord}} and ask for help in the 3ds-assistance channels.

If you are in possession of the source console, it powers on at all, and is modded (or you have access to [[3DS:Ntrboot|ntrboot]]), click the button below to continue with dumping the savegames with the console itself. Working buttons and screens are '''NOT''' required for this path.

{{Clickable button 2|/Dump from console|Yes, my console powers on|class=mw-ui-progressive}}

If you cannot follow the above guide, but have obtained a recent NAND backup, you can instead follow the below guide to obtain the savegames from your NAND backup. Note that you will only be able to get the savegames as they existed at the time you made the NAND backup. Any saves made afterwards cannot be recovered with this method.

{{Clickable button 2|/Dump from NAND Backup|I must use a NAND backup|class=mw-ui-progressive}}

If you cannot follow either of these guides, then unfortunately, you cannot transfer your NAND savedata.
