The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid handheld/home game console released by Nintendo in 2017.

Multiple revisions of the Switch have been released - out of them, only the original "Erista" models made before July 2018 are currently hackable. Other patched Erista models may use the software method "Caffeine" if they run on versions 4.0.0 to 4.1.0.
{| style="width: 100%; table-layout: fixed;"
| style="vertical-align: top;" class="collapse-on-mobile" |
Getting started
The current recommended setup is Hekate + Atmosphère.

Instructions on setting up homebrew and custom firmware on your console can be found here:

<div class="center">
| style="vertical-align: top;" class="collapse-on-mobile" |
Use homebrew
Looking for things to do with your newly-homebrewed console? We have a list for that!
|-
|
Models
The current released models of the switch are:

* "Erista" (original switch)
** "Erista" systems manufactured before June 2018 are vulnerable to the Fusee Gelee exploit, and are generally referred to as "unpatched"
** "Erista" systems manufactured after June 2018 cannot be hacked via software at this time (unless they run on versions 4.0.0-4.1.0 with the method Caffeine)
* "Mariko" ("redbox" switch)
** "Mariko" systems feature a new SOC, which allows them to run cooler, and have a longer battery life
** "Mariko" systems cannot be hacked via software at this time
* Switch Lite
** The Switch Lite is a budget model, without TV output, detachable joycons, and with several features removed.
** The Switch Lite cannot be hacked via software at this time
* OLED model ("Aula")
** The Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) is identical to the "Mariko" systems, but features a larger, OLED display, expanded internal storage, an improved kickstand and improved speakers
** The Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) cannot be hacked via software at this time
Offline preservation
Hello, how are you? I recently got an old 3ds and I was able to mod it and I owe you a lot of joy.

Have you thought about leaving a link to download the whole page and have it archived offline in case “something happens”?

I'm making notes and saving files for the console I have, but if maybe in the future I get other models and this beautiful page disappears all the knowledge would be lost!

Maybe have a Tor/i2P version or seed with torrent.... I don't know, a plan B.

Thanks for all your effort, have a nice day beautiful people. :DDD!! Vigilante8 (talk) 23:32, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
:A download for the wiki? Currently you can do this a few ways:
:*"Print" the page and save it to a PDF, so you have an always-accessible version of it
:*Use Special:Export to export any pages you want, and then import the resulting XML file to a second MediaWiki instance
:There are private daily backups of the database, an XML export, and settings. I don't currently have something to export something like html copies of every page automatically, but I'm not against having publicly-accessible exports for offline use.
kartdlphax is an exploit for the game "Mario Kart 7", compatible with System Versions 1.0.0 through 11.17.0 for USA/EUR/JPN region consoles primarily made made by PabloMK7. It was used to launch universal-otherapp in the past, that got patched with the latest version, so this exploit can be used now to prepare the secondary exploits unSAFE_MODE(you can find this on the main guide) or menuhax67 on 11.16.0+. Credits go to zoogie for both of these exploits. If you're on an older version(<=11.15.0-47X), you can use universal-otherapp instead. This page covers preparing menuhax67 to access the Homebrew Launcher since accessing the Homebrew Launcher from kartdlphax directly not possible currently. On the next page you will find out how to access the Homebrew Launcher with menuhax67 set up. To use these exploits, kartdlphax includes the 3DS ROP xPloit Injector

To use this exploit, you need:

*A second 3DS with custom firmware (the source 3DS) that is the same region as the 3DS you are trying to modify (the target 3DS)
*A physical or digital copy of Mario Kart 7 that is the same region as both consoles
*An SD card for both devices

Galactica: Added instructions to disable InputRedirection and made a few minor tweaks

3DS:IR
Input Redirection enables you to redirect your controller input directly into your console. All controllers are supported as long as you can connect them to your computer somehow. If you have multiple controllers connected, it will combine your inputs. To use this utility, you need to have CFW with Luma3DS on the latest version installed into your console.

What You Need
* The latest version of InputRedirectionClient-Qt (for your computer).
* Your device's local IP address.

Instructions
# Connect the controller you want to use with your console to your computer.
# Extract InputRedirection-Qt to a folder in your computer and open it.
# In the IP Address field, input your device's local IP address.
# On your device, press L + D-PAD DOWN + SELECT to open Rosalina Menu.
#* This is the default configuration; if you have broken buttons, you may be using an alternate configuration that changes the key combination to X+Y or Y+B
# Navigate to Miscellaneous options....
# Select Start InputRedirection.
# Press B until you exit out of Rosalina Menu.
InputRedirection has been set up successfully!

Disabling InputRedirection
# On your device, press L + D-PAD DOWN + SELECT to open the Rosalina Menu.
#* This is the default configuration; if you have broken buttons, you may be using an alternate configuration that changes the key combination to X or Y
# Navigate to Miscellaneous options....
# Select Start InputRedirection.
# Press B until you exit out of the Rosalina Menu.
# Close InputRedirection-Qt on your computer and disconnect your controller
InputRedirection has been successfully disabled.

Troubleshooting
My controller is not detected
InputRedirection can only detect XInput, which is present in Xbox controllers. If you are not using an Xbox controller, you should use x360ce to use your controller.

My inputs are not recognised
Try rebooting your device and InputRedirection-Qt as well. If the issue still persists, make sure your 3DS and computer are connected to the same internet connection and that you have a stable internet connection.

My issue is not listed here
